What is Storyboarding?

A storyboard is a graphical version of the series of shots shown in the music video with captions that describes the location, action, camera direction, lighting and sometimes simple dialogue. The Director uses a storyboard to plan the shots he wants to use in his music video and to make sure that the shots work in a sequence together to create a successful music video. It is an essential planning tool prior to and on the day of the shoot for compiling in a simple fashion all the shots.
